Trackable Privacy Policy

Trackable keeps food photos and Apple Health data on your device. If you create an account, a limited set of profile and nutrition data is encrypted in transit and synced so you can restore it on another device. We do not sell personal data, track you across apps, or use advertising analytics.

Account and cloud sync

An account uses your email address for a one-time-code sign-in. The synced profile can include your name, age, sex, height, weight, nutrition goals, preferences and one profile photo stored at exactly 300×300 pixels. Trackable also syncs the current day and previous 89 calendar days of calorie, protein, carbohydrate and fat totals, plus exact meal and workout log details for the current day and previous four calendar days.

Account authentication, database storage and the private profile-photo bucket are provided by Supabase. Supabase processes this data only to operate Trackable under contractual privacy and security obligations. Trackable does not use account data for advertising or third-party profiling. You can continue without an account; guest data remains on that device and is not synced.

Photos and on-device analysis

Camera and photo-library access is optional and used only after you choose it. In the App Store version, food photos are analysed by the model running on your device. Trackable does not upload food photos for analysis or cloud storage. If you choose a profile photo, only the cropped 300×300 profile image described above is synced.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, Trackable reads steps and active energy from Apple Health to calculate and display daily activity. It does not write to Apple Health. Health data is processed on your device, is not used for advertising, and is not sent to our servers. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings or the Health app.

Network requests and service providers

Trackable may download its on-device AI model and Open Food Facts country databases. A barcode lookup that is unavailable locally may query Open Food Facts. Supabase provides optional account authentication and sync. Apple processes App Store purchases. These services necessarily receive network information such as your IP address when contacted, but Trackable does not add advertising identifiers or use the requests to build an advertising profile. The public Trackable package service itself has no accounts, cookies or analytics.

Retention and deletion

Cloud macro totals are retained for at most 90 calendar days and exact logs for at most 5 calendar days. The current account profile and 300×300 profile image remain while the account exists. Use Settings → Delete account to permanently delete the entire Trackable account, its cloud rows and profile image, then clear the app's local personal data. Logging out does not delete the account. Uninstalling removes the app container but does not by itself delete a cloud account. Apple Health permissions and source data are managed separately by Apple.

Guest data and local-only content remain on the device until deleted in the app or removed with the app. We may retain only records that law requires us to keep, and will explain any such exception when it applies.

Developer and test builds

Internal builds can explicitly enable testing controls, including custom model providers. Those controls are disabled by default in the App Store release. If a tester enables an external provider, the provider receives only the data the tester chooses to submit and its own privacy terms apply.

Support and changes

If you email support, we receive your email address and message and retain them only as needed to answer and resolve the request. Material policy changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, shown in the app.
